Close Encounters Of The 300th Kind

I assume that you are all well aware of the five tones used by us earthlings to communicate with the aliens in Spielberg‘s 1978 classic ‘Close Encounters Of The Third Kind” But did you know that those five tones were composed by John Williams who also provided the theme and soundtrack. But you probably would have guessed that it would have been recorded by Mr Williams. But for me what is really interesting is that John Williams wrote 300 of them before Steven Spielberg picked the famous one that made it into the film.
